June is such a fun month in the Silver Valley where summer vibes are in full swing!

With longer, sun-filled days, it’s the perfect time for outdoor adventures. The breathtaking Coeur d'Alene National Forest invites everyone to explore its beautiful hiking trails, where you might even spot some wildlife! Whether you’re biking through scenic routes, fishing in crystal-clear lakes, or just relaxing with friends in charming towns like Wallace, Kellogg, Pinehurst, and Kingston, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in this vibrant community.

As June rolls on, our community buzzes with exciting local events! The annual Wallace Fourth of July Celebration kicks off with warm-up activities, including parades and live music, perfect for connecting with neighbors and making new friends. Pinehurst hosts its own fun community gatherings, while Kingston offers a picturesque backdrop for fishing and picnics along the Coeur d'Alene River. In Kellogg, the Silver Mountain Resort opens its summer operations, featuring scenic gondola rides, mountain biking and hiking galore, and a family-friendly water park. Plus, don’t miss the farmers' markets, the lively Music In the Park, and SilverKing's Enduro event. The Shoshone County Mining Museum is open and has fun activities celebrating the area’s rich mining history. With so much happening, June truly captures the spirit of summer fun in the Silver Valley and all throughout Shoshone County!

Growing up in the beautiful Inland Northwest made it hard to drift far from the "Center of the Universe." I’ve had the opportunity to live in Idaho, Montana, and Washington, and my family and I are proud to call Wardner, ID, our home. As a proud alum of the University of Phoenix and Boise State University, I hold a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Social Work and Mental Health. I’m happily married to my high school sweetheart, Brian, and I’m proud of my son Cole, who’s thriving at Bennington College.

During the off-season for skiing, you can find me training for the 6th annual Jack@ss Half, hiking trails with my pups Sedona and Eleanor, or enjoying concerts.
